Cords are worn by student-athletes at graduation to represent their participation in high school athletics.

  • Maroon Cord

To receive a Maroon Cord, a student-athlete must complete one sport each year.

  • Maroon & White Cords

To receive a Maroon & White Cord, a student-athlete must complete two sports each year.

  • Maroon, White & Blue Cords

To receive a Maroon, White and Blue Cord, a student-athlete must complete 3 sports each year.

For a student-athlete to earn a cord they must complete one sport each year of a sports season (Fall, Winter, or Spring). Eligible athletes are determined by the Athletic Department while the Boosters fund and organize the event.

The Cording Ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate and share in the success of your child's athletic career. Each parent/guardian who volunteers 24 hours through Athletic Booster-sponsored events can be part of the Cording Ceremony. If you volunteer more than 24 hours, you can donate up to 12 hours to a friend. If one parent earns 48+ hours, they may donate it to the other parent.
